Empowering young people to become positive influencers with Youth4planet

The knodel foundation supports Youth4planet e.V., a non-profit and independent creative platform that provides young people with free learning pathways to design and publish their own perspectives for their future. Using team-based storytelling and cooperative filmmaking with digital tools such as smartphones, they learn to take responsibility for their topics and develop skills for practical implementation in social reality. Youth4planet pursues the vision to apply its community-promoting intensive learning modules not only in Germany, but ultimately worldwide for social transformation to a sustainable economy.

Stories4Change

Youth4planet connects and cooperates with partner organisations for more perspectives and to support their work with its storytelling concept. This includes artistic approaches with as Rapforrefugees e.V. in Hamburg, mixing popular music storytelling with rap and film for bigger public events. In collaboration with Fridaysforfuture the manifestations are documented by Y4P journalistic teams. Y4P is supporting teachers searching for alternative learning systems by providing new learning pathways for their pupils.
Youth4planet always uses a modular multi-stakeholder approach, allowing the participants to get a feeling for their self-efficacy. Still the best ambassadors for this approach are inspirational films created by young activists between the ages of 6 and 26. Some of these films have already been shown in French, German and English versions at regional film festivals in Metz, Luxembourg or Saarbrücken. The vision is to expand this work based on existing networks (like the UN) to find cooperation partners in non-European countries as well.
